In the Essar Steel Algoma Administration building the old SID located on the roof has been retrofitted with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), new damper control, new glycol control valves, as well as 4 new electric heaters. In addition to this equipment upgrade a zone system has also been installed allowing the individual zones control their own air flow and in some cases the perimeter heating as well.
